In my opinion the best bang for your buck is a Rudy Vey handle w/ a Longshaving knot, I feel the Longshaving knot is right there with the Black Eagle HT2 knot, the Longshaving knot is a little denser.

If you are looking for a great quality knot for about $240.00 it can not be beat.

Beauty shave! A couple days of growth, so went with the 1.55 WR2 and it was smooth and efficient. An older That Darn Rob brush lathered up the Stirling Barbershop. The Birch Root is a fantastic splash for scent and performance.
