Beautiful Photo Michael P! What do you think of the Yaqi? I’ve been eyeing some of those with that knot. Also, what do you think of the A&E Soap? I haven’t heard very many impressions. Thanks!

Thanks very much, TheHunter!
I'm a fan of the A&E/Shaving Shop Club new base-the one with lanolin and goat's milk. Very shiny lather, lots of glide, and this soap can take lots of water. This is important to me as I'm SR shaving these days, and I want a lot of 'slip' to the soap. Post-shave feel is very good, soft but not heavy feeling.
The scent, to my nose, is sweet and figgy. It's more of a summery scent than say Barrister's Figgy Pudding, which has more of those baking/nutmeg/wintery notes. The scents on these A&E new formulation soaps are great fun-So Cal Hipster has a big pineapple note, goes well with Creed Aventus, and Asian Plum is a scent I love but cannot describe. Top shelf.
This Yaqi brush is another foolproof synthetic. The knot is very similar to the Synbad knot I got from APShave Co. both in looks and performance. The handle is surprisingly nice. Like the Synbad, it has good splay, a bit of backbone, creates lather very easily. I want a bit more experience with it, but right now, I'd put it up there with my Tuxedo knots as the favorite synthetics in the den, with the Plissofts a close third.
All the best,
Michael P

Thank you Michael P! Sounds like I will have to give the Soaps and the Brush a go!
