SOTD - SIMPLE IS GOOD
I had an amazing shave today - a bloodless, utterly skin-friendly BBS. The more I think about it, the more I am convinced it was the best shave ever for me - a statement I do not make lightly.  Had it not been for the complete absence of whiskers – even from my renegade neck – I would not have known that I shaved. (Not that I faceturbate, or anything like that.   )

So what was different? I got a test sample of a Grooming Dept preshave and used it for the first time. I followed Mohammad’s advice about the prep (nothing but hot water and the preshave) and post (just a brief warm water rinse), and it was like magic.  - No facial soap, no glycerin rub, no witch hazel, alum, or aftershave of any sort.

FWIW, I broke my “Fixed Four” routine in many ways today. The AC shavette was used to trim a complicated goatee. Not the best tool for that particular job I think, and I plan to try a Weck Hair Shaper or a DOC. I gave my right hand a shaving break from the Sabre, but did use it with the AC. It (the right hand) has a long way to go.
