Did I just have one of the most effective, smooth, and low aggression shaves from a $17 razor likely manufactured in the 1940s? I believe I did.  Very impressed by this razor. While the efficiency is not quite at a Blackbird Ti (which is my current baseline) or maybe not even a Vector SS with Feather Super Pros, it is in the neighborhood with a significantly smoother experience. And this is my first shave with it. Maybe it is the supporting cast of modern schick blades, a very hydrated and cushioned lather, or the handle angle on this copy. I do believe the angle may be bent slightly more than others I have seen, but not dramatically so. I did become cavalier at the end of the shave and caught a few weepers above the upper lip area. A small amount of residual irritation can be felt on the jaw line and lower neck, but that could be an accumulation from the past days of new soap samples and razor changeouts. I am going to wait to conduct a more detailed analysis until I have had multiple shaves, in an attempt to avoid any "honeymoon" bias on this razor.
