Post 1: P.A.A. Alum w/ No-Slip Grip System & Dry Dock System
Post 2: Dickinson's Enhanced Witch Hazel Deep Cleansing Astringent w/ Menthol & Eucalyptus
Aftershave: Hendrix Classics & Company Gunslinger

Oh, what a glorious shave... I can't tell you enough how good this combination was. Keeping it vintage, I paired up my Bengall straight with a much-loved classic of mine in the Black Handle Super Adjustable (double-edge) and a well-suited 10+ year old Omega boar brush.

With my love for tobacco scents, I popped open a new jar of Gunslinger from HC&C expecting something good. Oh boy were my expectations blown! Let me tell you. If you like tobacco at all you have to get ahold of this one. It's so good!

The smell is best described in order of prominence as warm spicey, tobacco, woody, sweet, vanilla, amber, cinnamon, oud, fruity. The creaminess of the wood and tobacco sit on top but are shaped by the spice, sweet, and vanilla. The hint of cinnamon interestingly served to provide a slight warming sensation on my skin. Somewhat akin to what menthol does for aftershaves. The oud is strong and forms a nice backbone to the fragrance, as it should. I have to say though that I love that bit of spice and raw tobacco I get from this fragrance. It does soften with the sweet vanilla and creamy wood notes though. Gunslinger is definitely a favorite of mine now. Just saying.

I did the bulk of my shave with the straight then switched over to the DE for the cleanup. All in all, it was an easy road to a bbs finish. I then slapped on some matchy-matchy aftershave and walked away feeling like a top shot with a fresh takedown.

Alright gentlemen, that's it for today. You take care of yourselves now. You hear? And enjoy your shaves.
