I love the B&M Reserve Soap base, I always get excellent shaves with it. It’s thick, slick, and has wonderful post shave feel. I actually get better shaves with this soap base than with Will’s Glissant base. I’m wondering if it has something to do with my water?

As I recall, although the Glissant soap base was formulated to handle hard water better than the White Label, the Reserve soap base has gone even further in that aspect. From one of Barrister and Mann’s Reserve product pages: “Absolute hard water tolerance. We've tested this soap in just about every water condition there is.” It also seems to do really well with quite a bit of water added.
