SOTN - Single-Edge Sunday
prep - shower with Caprina Fresh Goat’s Milk with Shea Butter bar soap
razor - Lady Eversharp (Schick injector type K1)
blade - Schick (22)
brush - Semogue 620
soap - Kaloderma cream
post - warm water rinse, DSA “Pure & Natural” alum, cold water rinse
aftershave - Italian Barber's Amici
music - CBC's "Randy Bachman's Vinyl Tap"
I've not been using the Semogue 620 much lately. I like the stubby handle but the knot ("splays"?) too easily. The addition of a rubber band helped. I'm going to swap it for a hair band elastic next time, with the fabric covering.
It's a nice non-permanent mod.
The Lady Eversharp gives me a mild but very close shave. I certainly prefer it over the Schick Type E3 or the RR Hawk V2.

We could be Heroes, just for one day.

Monday 11.16.20 SOTD
Chiseled Face Natural Pre-Shave Gel
ATT Calypso S1 Slant / Astra Superior Platinum
WCS Two-Tone Tall 26mm Synthetic BOSS Knot
Chiseled Face Sherlock Shaving Soap
Chiseled Face Sherlock Aftershave Splash
On its first outing, the ATT aluminum slant felt a bit more aggressive than my Fine aluminum slant. I also detected some drag compared to the Fine slant, which is polished. Fortunately the West Coast brush and Chiseled Face Sherlock soap produced a good slick lather, so the end result was a two-pass BBS (WTG and ATG). But I still need a few more shaves with the ATT to really get it dialed in.
