I do so enjoy Tobacco Tuesdays. And tonight's shave was just fantastic!
For starters, the last time I used this razor, I rolled the edge stropping prior to the shave, and didn't realize it until after the shave. It was not a great shave. Not uncomfortable, but a bit tuggy, and not as close as I was used to getting from this razor.
So tonight, I took it to the 5k, 10k, and 12k ceramic. Then I ran it across the balsa strop. 10 laps each with chromium oxide and iron oxide. 30 laps on the paddle strop followed by 30 laps on the hanging strop while my soap bloomed, and for the second time in my life, second night in a row, with a different razor...I have achieved my shiny-scalp smooth shave.
This is starting to get fun! Now I just need to remain focused, so I don't get cocky and slice the top of my head open again...
