Jim, how do you like this razor?

Overall I'm very pleased with it. The fit and finish is top notch. It's not super aggressive, but still efficient. I would put it in the same category as the Alpha Claymore Evolution and the RazoRock Hawk V3 standard. Only drawback is the the handle is not easily interchangeable with others -- not a problem for me.

I wanted to try the new favorite blade of mine (Gillette Platinum) in the TiBird to see how it played. It did pretty well. I think it improved it a bit over the PermaSharp that I typically use. Extreme BBS this morning with little irritation. But I just got a bunch of bottles of Floid in from Spain and so wanted to do a Floid-themed morning - hence the Razorock Blue Barber soap. Lathers like a big dog, especially with that Razorock Plissoft brush - wow! Shave performance was quite good - blade feel is still strong on the TiBird, but the super light weight allows you to really reduce pressure and therefore irritation. Can't say the TiBird beats the Yates 921 - Yates is still the smoother and more effiicient razor for me. The Timeless Ti95 falls to 3rd place as its BBS doesn't quite last as long as the others.
