This morning the copper gear got a cleaning, using the Calphalon “Radiance” cleaner.  Works like a charm.

Never having done a side by side with my two Apollo Mikrons I decided it was time. Brushless shave, homemade oil, BIC blades, both set at five stops (different dial calibration in the two). I've used the bigger 50s model more often than the more svelte 60s model and appreciated the easier handling of the latter. The newer was also a bit noisier. Both smooth and efficient, no third party pickups this day.
