The odd thing is that getting the razor stuck in my earring happened the night before too, with a British Flare-Tip Rocket. It took me a minute or so to get it off that time. This had never happened to me before. Both times it happened during my third pass, XTG nose-to-ear.
I switched from a stud to a ring last summer because my COVID-19 mask elastics were getting snagged on them.

Other than that, it turned out pretty good, and I learned a new trick in the bargain.
At one point in the first pass the blade was feeling prematurely rough. I loosened the TTO doors half-way up and just tightened them again. 
After that it felt perfectly fine, resulting in a BBS.
