SOTD THURSDAY MORNING, FEBRUARY 18, 2021

Woke up to 5” of snow on the ground with it still coming dow pretty heavy. After my usual two pasted strops and leather strop, the Wade & Butcher 7/8 easily swept away the mug whiskers in three slow, easy passes. I've found that my former struggles with neck whiskers go away when my razor is sharp enough! That was definitely the case today. The Barbasol Floating Head (BFH) on its part completed what turned out to be another two pass excellent noggin shave. The BFH is easily one of my top 5 dome shavers. It does sing as it cuts, but the result can never be argued with. I feel clean, refreshed and velveteen smooth!

PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil 
BRUSH: Viking Silvertip Badger 
CREAM: A&E Shaving Butter 
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with A&E Post-Shave Serum.

I don't think anything makes better lather than the old version of XPEC, and the combination of the rose mix and the Ethos enhancer drops added wonderful fragrance. At shave 24, the blade was still smooth and efficient, but I can only count up that that number on 4 dice and I have plenty of blades, so it has been tossed out. The aftershave added a very nice Hammam-like finish.
