BRUSH: Stirling Synthetic.  Excellent.
SOAP: MEM Cream.  Excellent.
BOWL: Yoresh Electric. Excellent.
RAZOR: GEM Micromatic Bullet. Excellent.
BLADE: GEM PTFE.  4th shave. Disappointing.
PASSES: 3 + Touch up. Lots of touch upping.
SHAVE: Ech! N.D.G.
AFTER SHAVE: Gillette Cool Wave After Shave Splash.  Dreadful.

Your posts trip me out.     I use a cane now.
Please explain why the GEM PTFE was "disappointing".  Was it just past its prime
I don't know when the prime pf a PTFE occurs.  But 4 shaves are not nearly enough for any of today's blades.


Also, what does "N.D.G." stand for?
In Montreal or Quebec City it means Notre Dame de Grace.
In my Toronto it stands for No Damned Good.


Finally, what made the splash "dreadful"?  Did the scent turn you off, or was it the performance?

Well, the bottle is beautiful. The odour is not. It st----forget that. To me it just smells baaad.
It burns the face like a blowtorch.
Hang on. I shaved at about 6:30 this morning, It is now 1:00 pm. I'll give it another try.
Oh! Wow! That is so ---- exactly the same as before.
I have never had any skin problems before. But after this treatment, who knows?

When I got the Hulk in the mail yesterday, I knew I had to use it this morning. It's huge. That's a Chubby 3 in the picture for comparison. I was skeptical but it lathered very well, super soft for my face lathering, yet because it's so big there was plenty of natural backbone. First impressions are very favorable.

Another fairly uninspiring I Coloniali shave. I know some people love this but it's edging closer and closer to the exit door for me.
