This razor, handle, brush, soap, and aftershave combine to be one of, if not my favorite shaves.  The only thing I could interchange would be another Route 66 soap as I haven't found one I didn't really like.

Those "back to the basics" shaves are nice. Of course they are. But, you know what?. When you go back to a top of the line soap, both your skin and your sense of smell can tell the difference. And these Eufros Premium are a heck of a soap. I love the two I've got (this Ylang Ylang and a Vetiver de Haití) and I already know which ones I'll be ordering in the near future (those will be "Gea" and "Dama de Noche").

First time with a Feather in the Slant. Just a tiny drop of blood in my lower neck, sorted out by the confort lather. Three passes, with two XTG passes instead of the usual WTG-XTG-ATG, resulting in a BBS outcome. The Slant tamed the brand new Feather much better than the Edwin Jagger used to do. I'm so fond of this razor.

I will thankfully heed your sage advice.

HOWEVER, being the curious beast that I am I know I will be compelled to try at least 1 and 9.
I will probably regret it but as they say about climbing Mt. Everest when asked "Why?"

                                         "Why?  Because it's there."

Mickey   Winking

Mickey, don't think I didn't do exactly the same. Winking

Well of course, it's in the male DNA.

"Careful sir, this plate is hot."

Quickly reaching over to actually touch the plate, "Ouch, sure is"

Sign says "WET PAINT"

I just want to -------- Oh damn!

Or,

Careful little one. The soup is hot.

I'll be ------------WAAAAAA!!! WAAAAAA!!!

Cream: Santa Maria Novella (Tobacco Toscano) v3.
Brush: Romera "Rustic Chubby" 26mm Manchurian
Razor: Ikon brass SBS w/SE handle
Blade: Polsilver SI (1)
Post: Santa Maria Novella balm followed by SMN Tobacco Toscano EdC.
Wow! After two weeks in Italy using my travel kit it was absolute bliss to use decent hardware/software.
Had a software reunion with the newly acquired SMN stuff. First use with this brush, very nice fit in the hand.
