Astonishing Tabacstag!
I put a tuxedo knot into one of my Brothers Bristles handles to create the Silver Shadow. This is an amazing knot! The tips are incredibly soft, but the knot is also very dense, giving it plenty of backbone, too. It's every bit as soft and efficient as my HIS lather monster. The handle is solid aluminum, so it's light, maneuverable and comfortable in my hand. The lather was thick yogurt, typical of Tabac, and provided plenty of protection for three passes with my Futur on 6-5-5.
Prep: Myrsol Emulsion
Soap: Tabac!
Brush: Brothers Bristles Silver Shadow
Razor: Futur
Blade: Voskhod
AS: Tabac!

Mystic Water Sensitive Skin(Unscented)
Lucky Tiger After Shave and Face Tonic

Great shave this fine morning!

Mystic Water Sensitive Skin(Unscented) is an outstanding shaving soap!  I bought a full puck and then made a shaving stick out of it.  This is my most foolproof way to use Mystic Water shaving soap.  When I load the brush off of the puck and continue to face lather, it can still be hit or miss for me.  My explanation for this is that when I use it as a shaving stick, I'm able to load enough product to face lather into a wonderful lather.  Clearly, my loading the brush off of the puck inconsistency is due to user error.  I will continue to work on it even though it works best for me from a shaving stick.(I really hate failing at anything!)

Mystic Water Sensitive Skin is obviously an unscented shaving soap that smells of only the ingredients included in the soap.  It does smell very pleasant to me.  It has a somewhat herbal scent(to me.)  The best part to this soap is all of the skin loving ingredients included in this formula.  Mystic Water shaving soaps have great post-shave face feel, but I feel like this particular formula takes it to another level!  My face always feels better AFTER the shave with this soap.  Hence, this is one of my favorites, especially following a previous poor shave from about anything else.  YMMV and all that.

Prep: Lots of hot water to the face and a smearing of Prep preshave
Razor: 1940s Super Speed
Blade: Treet Silver (1)
Brush: Maggard Razors 24mm Purple Swirl
Lather: Dr. Jon's Bandit
Post: Beaver Woodwright Black Ship Grooming Bandit
Adult Beverage: Paulaner Oktoberfest

Tonight's shave marks a momentous occasion in my wetshaving adventure: I shaved two nights in a row. Normally, I shave every other night. However, today I received my Bandit set and I just had to take it for a spin. I popped a fresh blade into the ol' trusty Super Speed, with my infallible Maggard Razors brush, and went to town with Bandit. Fan-freakin-tastic. Bandit is exceptional in both scent and performance---soap and aftershave, equally.

The soap has a distinct herby, citrus scent to it. Masculine for sure. The splash, out of the bottle, smells of citrus and patchouli. But wait just a few minutes after you've slapped it on and the leather comes through strongly. Wow!

This is really a superb collaboration between Dr. Jon's and Black Ship Grooming. I am concerned it didn't sell well, thus the markdown from $40 to $30 for the set on both of their respective sites. I am certain if samples were made of this soap and aftershave the sales would be very, very brisk. This is a wonderful scent.

It's as if Dr. Jon's Hydra mated with CFG's Midnight Stag. Bandit is the result. Bandit doesn't have the insane, in your face manliness of Midnight Stag, but it's manly for sure. The citrus from Hydra is definitely there, but it's been balanced out with some leather and patchouli.

Really exceptional. I can't say enough good words about this collaboration. I only hope this will not be the only collaboration between Dr. Jon's and Black Ship Grooming.

This is my first use of any Black Ship Grooming product. I'm now a big fan. His splash formula is superb and it leaves my face feeling like a million bucks.
