I'm absolutely dumbfounded. The hype is real. This razor is legit. ESPECIALLY the S2.
Perhaps I should explain: I'm at my parents' house this weekend for my brother's wedding. My oldest brother (who got me into wet shaving, and had loads of cool stuff) let me try out his ATT set. I'd heard so much about this set, that I couldn't resist. I went with the standard R1 on my head because I didn't want to be too adventurous. And I've never tried an open comb slant before, so I had to give it a go.
The R1 is solid and keeps the blade right in place. I'd say it's more aggressive than a DE89 or 34C, but it's also more rigid. There's so little blade flex that it's effortless and efficient.
The S2, on the other hand, is so mild that I went over spots over and over again without any irritation. I was actually able to chase a BBS shave on my neck. On my NECK! What is this madness?!
Now, the money hoarding begins so I can acquire one. Maybe I should start a GoFundMe campaign to get me one... Because, seriously, I feel like I NEED this razor set.
Be smooth, everyone!
