I'm in the very small minority which don't get along with Wickhams soaps. I've rated some of the scents but I've not been a fan of the soap base.
I found the scent strength to be weak and not particularly pleasant while creating the lather. Thankfully it did improve when applying to the face. The scent was ok but nothing special.
I whipped up what looked to be a good lather but I found performance on all levels poor. Post shave I found very drying too. My face was a little tender in places but is starting to calm down now.
Have a good week gents.
Cheers
Rob
SOTD:
Preshave: Proraso white
Bowl: Castle Shave bowl
Brush: Shavemac D01 28mm
Soap: WK king of Oud
Razor: Freshly restored Joseph Rodgers and Sons(I’m guessing pre 1864) military Razor
Aftershave: WK king of Oud
Great Shave with this freshly restored razor. Had to rehone because I didn’t like the edge and ended up getting it bang on the 2nd time. I take no substitute for perfection with my razors so they have to be on point! But I had a great shave none the less. It was buttery smooth but I have to improve my positioning on my neck because my hair grows east all the way through. So it’s a lot harder getting ATG right.
