Okay. This time I torqued the head on by laying a side (edge, actually) on the sink and turning the handle one-handed, which is how I adjust the QShave Futur clone.
I figured that since this was planned to be my last use of the blade, then any deformation of the blade cause by the over-sized fillet wouldn't matter. (again, see
this post.)
By golly it was the closest shave I've had in ages, and with no weepers. I just had to be very cautious, approaching my face with the razor like it was a space docking. So, now the Fendrihan is back in rotation with the other razors, but only for the final (12th) use of any blade.

This is the grippiest handle of any of my razors.
The top and ends of the head are actually polished, but the bottoms have that pebbly texture, presumably from the MIM (metal injection molding) process.
Oh - and it was the first modern DE razor I had ever bought, back in 2016 I think, so it has some sentimental value.
