Decided to toss the BIC Chrome Platinum (1) I started into the Gillette Old Type I have on display, just to see if I could use it. I've tried it before and it was too rough for whatever reason.
Used my usual pre/post of Stirling Glacial Balm. My new samples of Stirling Almond creme were used. It is a nice smell. The sharp cherry at the beginning is not my cup of tea, luckily it quickly mellows to a sweet almond-esque desert scent. This is good.
The shave was fairly smooth and easy, which shocked me after my first attempt. Still I keep coming to the conclusion that I don't really care for OC razors. I get a better, closer shave from many of my SBs and the shave feels a lot smoother.
Nonetheless, it is nice to know it isn't as wicked as I originally thought. Now, back on the frame it goes.
Happy Saturday DFS!
