Found this soap in the far back corner of my cabinet, really enjoyed it. The Colbeck is outstanding, nice light scent that wouldn't clash with anything else you wore and a nice shot of menthol. Chatillon Lux feels so good to the skin, definitely one of my top aftershaves.

Two days growth, three passes (WTG, XTG, ATG) and an awesome BBS result. DFS, really. The performance of the soap is spectacular, including the refined and elegant scent. The Polsilver did extremely well in its third shave, where others already show some fatigue. They're smooth and sharp, great blades, IMHO. But it's the brush who's the protagonist today. I bought the handle from Larry (Whipped Dog) and glued a Virginia Shaving 2 Band knot into it. The result has been amazing. It's a great latherer, improving shave after shave, with soft tips that have some scrub and a very good backbone. I'm loving it.

Razor: AlumiGoose w/iKon Bamboo handle
Blade: Feather Professional (3)
Brush: Tres Amigo Desert Ironwood Beehive w/Envy White
Soap: Route 66 Bourbon Jungle
A/S: Fine Platinum
Balm: Route 66 Bourbon Jungle

An outstanding 3 pass shave with a little cleanup to finish up. The Tres Amigo Desert Ironwood brush is one of my top three brushes. The handle, the knot, and the loft are outstanding. Route 66 shave soap is amazing, and the Bourbon Jungle is again in my top three shave soaps. It will come as no surprise to those who follow this thread that the other two soap in my top three are also Route 66 soaps.
Fine Platinum is a favorite A/S of mine and after a little wait the Bourbon Jungle Balm is very refreshing and soothing. YMMV. Smile
TGIF and have a great weekend.

OK, so first off, the Route 66 Casablanca shaving soap held up for the 2nd usage.  The same excellent performance and scent.  I need to thank Doug (semperfi 45) for putting this soap on my radar.  It seems to be as good as billed!  Thank you, sir!

The only thing I changed for this shave from the last was the aftershave.  This one is special to me.  When I was a kid growing up, my Grandma always gave me aftershave for Christmas.  Well, a lot of it went to waste, because I wasn't shaving yet, so it went unused.  Now, I wish I had all of that now vintage aftershave.   Wink Anyway, the scent of this vintage aftershave brought back so many wonderful memories!

Enjoy your shaves!

I'm very pleased you enjoy this shave soap as I do. Thanks for your kind words.
