Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Great shave this morning. Went back to D.R. Harris and their "Windsor" shave cream. Wonderful scent and lather built with the Riva Brushes Manchurian badger brush for two passes (+ touch-up) with the '56 Gillette Super Speed and I finished with Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue AS and Creed GIT EdP.

Hope you have a great day. Smile

SECOND SHAVE WITH THE ATHENA SS

Well today I went into the shave with a blade I haven't tried in quite some time.  The last time I used it was with the T2SS.  The Blade is the Kai, and for all of you who claim that this is a sharp blade.....YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT.  The Athena was flawless, even with me changing techniques on the fly.  It let me know when the angle was wrong and warned me to back off or to change the angle.  This razor is marvelous.  Now for the comparison part.  Again, a proviso, YMMV always applies.  I found the Athena to be smoother than the Ares but just as efficient.  Maybe it is the Stainless Steel material that is making the difference, I have no idea, nor am I equipped educationally to make that determination.  But, to me, the Ares Bronze and the Athena SS are equally efficient with the Athena SS being a bit smoother.  The weight of the entire razor does take a bit of getting used to, even though it might be close to the Ares Bronze.  There is no problem in holding the handle with wet hands.  So for those of you who are concerned, don't be.  This is the part where I wish I were on commission with Lambda, THESE RAZORS ARE WONDERFUL TOOLS WITH WHICH TO SHAVE.  Are they perfect?  I don't really know what that means, but I can't imagine getting a better shave with anything else.  This razor and the Ares, is making me reconsider my RAD for an Adjustable razor, unless Theo makes one.Wink

RAD is just a permanently temporary condition.  I'll get over it.. eventually.
