Zenith 21mm boar brush

Geneva Cutlery 5/8 extra hollow

So, my new Zenith brush arrived today. The handle looks WAY better in person than it does in pictures. I know it's plastic, but you don't find handles like this for less than $15 very often. At 21mm, it is the smallest brush in my collection, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in maneuverability and backbone. It loads easily, splays beautifully, holds a solid load of lather, whips really easy, and is soft as can be right out of the box. It is everything I love about my Razorock boar brush in a smaller package, and I like it!

This Geneva Cutlery, I picked up at the BST here on DFS. I bought it primarily to practice honing on, but the edge was in really good shape until I dinged it on the faucet. So I dulled it down and put a new edge on it. It shaves so clean and smooth....

I can tell my technique is improving as well because I am able to get much closer shaves without irritation and I'm not nicking myself hardly at all anymore. A little weeper once in a while, but mostly just clean, comfortable shaves. DFS without much touchup is pretty common, and achievable with all my razors, so I'm really happy about that!

Seygus Razor / Wizamet Polsilver DE Blade
EnvyShave DFS LE #45 Shaving Brush
Jabonman Eufros Brisa de Oriente Shaving Soap
Chatillon Lux Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli Toner

Almost everything involved in this shave very early this morning, is new to me.  The only thing that isn't new to me is the Polsilver blade.  Even so, what an outstandingly close comfortable shave.

Another excellent shave. I'm still working on The right mixture of water and lather. The lather got better for each of the last two passes, becoming very thick and slick in the process. I'm really enjoying the scent of this soap and aftershave! Three drama free passes with the Futur leaves me with a BBS. I'm impressed with how long this aftershave lasts, yesterday I could still smell it after work. I got a few compliments from colleagues as well.
Prep: Jack Black nourishing oil
Soap; B&M Night Music
Brush: Futur
Razor: Futur 5-5-5
Blade: Voskhod
AS: B&M Night Music
