music - FM Poco, out of Fukushima. Seemed to be 70% scripted PSAs, 20% spontaneous solo talk, and 10% music. All Japanese, of course. One of those "Radio Garden" finds.

Glad to be done with the Wilkinson Sword blade science experiment. No, it does not perform significantly better in the Henson razor.

I.B. Amici is still a great soap for the price.

Tonight I chose my Gillette Tech. Love the black locust handle on the Trotter brush. Soft knot great for face lathering. The mildness of the razor tempts me to overshave to achieve something close to a dfs. Let's just say the Gillette Cool Wave didn't feel very cool tonight.

blade - Astra SS (1) - I happened to find an unopened tuck of them, and thought I'd try one again in the Henson.
brush - Stirling 2-Band Synthetic
soap - Anointment Shave Soap
post - warm water rinse, DSA “Pure & Natural” alum, cold water rinse
aftershave - Osage Rub
music - "Chill Out" playlist from CBC Listen

This unscented soap (from a local soapery) lists "ground flax seed) among its ingredients, supposedly for "a light exfoliation" when you use it just to wash your face.
I could do without the flax seed chunks, but otherwise it's a decent shaving soap.
It is a bit disturbing to find a big brown chunk stuck on your skin mid-pass, until you realize what it is. Now I wonder what they do to the blade edge.


The Astra SS was fine in the Henson, for a nice BBS. Not a lot different than the SPs.
