So, I live out in the country here in Northern Ontario, and every so often I get blessed with some wildlife passing through the back yard.  Mostly deer, but the odd fox since there is a family den somewhere close I think, but they are here and gone before I get my camera.  And, well, the even odder moose Big Grin

A year old, if that, probably first time away from mommy.  As you can tell by the date code that's a older pic, but still one of my favs Big Grin

Hello there! :O  lol  Basement window, this was this past spring, and this was last falls fawn, I think it was alone never saw it with the doe :Sad Uh, basement window, I'm on a chair with my camera, I think the sun was casting me in a glare so it didn't see me, I don't know how, but it didn't lol

Same fawn, but sheltering from a wind storm we had, poor thing Sad

And this was obviously taken 3 days ago in the backyard!  :Big Grin Love the 36x zoom on my camera!  And, yes, this is this years fawn, hence the spots still on it :Smile Mommy was near by, and they bolted a few moments after I took this and a couple of other shots, so I'm considering myself lucky I even got this one!

Thought I would share these since I'm lucky enough to live in a place that I can take them from my window, in my boxers, for those who don't get to see much wildlife Big Grin

Uh, I can explain!  We feed the deer in the winter, at least at the start, by putting out a huge pile(sometimes twice) of carrots for them in the backyard.  They usually pig out on the first round to build up winter fat but the rest they seem to leave as an easy place to eat once the snow's on.  This one came around after a dumping of fresh snow and had to dig itself a hole to get to the carrots Tongue

Front step, you can plainly see deer tracks, no idea why they were there though :Tongue Though these are tiny, I think it was that fawn from before.

Mud turtle!  In the front yard.  No idea what that is on it's back, but by the look of the shell around it I think it had been injured by something. I don't know much about turtles.

Gah, crap pic but the moose was moving and I was using my phone camera which sucks  Angry  But was it was close, came upon it in the morning heading to work, it really didn't give a damn that I was there, it just sauntered away all casual like Tongue

He calls is a mud turtle. It's nose looks like one by a snapping turtle.

My opinion is that it is a snapping turtle.

It's a very good picture.

[Image: VmWLsSY.jpg]These are vultures at Bruce's place.

He said that he didn't feed them, but they are almost pets. Incredible!
