This piece of Walnut came from my Grandfather’s old Sawmill in Colorado. My Dad had been holding on to some chunks of it for many years.

This afternoon I threw it on the Lathe and went to town! I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. The handle shape allows for it to be comfortably held at the bottom, or at the top with the upper part of your fingers.

Shown with a 26mm Oumo knot.

Absolutely gorgeous. The walnut brush you sold to me was also amazing. You turn some really great art, sir.

Beautiful, and very special in light of the origin/source of the wood.

Beautiful grain, and it's nice for it to have that connection to your grandfather.
