I don't really plan it out either but I do keep some soaps in a wooden "shave tray" on the counter that at least cover a week's worth of shaves and sort of rotate in/out from the cabinet.

Also no rotation, that's perhaps my favorite aspect of wet shaving today is that literally you have an abundance of soaps and splashes and razors to choose from. Everyday you can feel and smell different it's a wonderful thing I will say soap commanders offerings have been used more lately than anything else.
