The 37c has been changed recently. It is, so I'm told, a much more mild razor than it was just a year or so ago. Looking at photos, you can see major differences in both the safety bar and lather channels, as well as the gap between the SB and the cap...

Gold, as oppossed to
Chrome) is now several years old. When I purchased it, it definitely had a reputation as an aggressive razor. Indeed, for the first few shaves I was gettings small nicks and weepers. However, I have long mastered it and get very nice shaves from it. I still may get the occasional small weeper from it but nothing like I used to. While I still have it in my rotation, I must admit that there are other non-slant razors that I prefer. I guess it's all part of this constant shaving journey that most of us are on.
