Now that I'm married, this is the only Shovelhead I'm likely to have in my possession  

All kidding aside, today's shave was unbelievable!  I haven't used the Shovelhead in more than 3 years but I don't remember it being this smooth.  Maybe my technique is just better now but this was by far the best SE shave I've ever had....complete BBS with no irritation.  Definitely looking forward to using this one again

Thanks HoosierShave.  I'll go out on a limb and assume you meant the Tedalus Essence.  If so, I heartily agree, and IMO in this case, the nicest thing about the looks is how superbly form follows function.  IME a number of factors combine to make manipulating the Essence a quantum leap easier than other shavettes, which in turn translates into a whole lot more shaving fun.  The downside, of course, is the price.  I resisted for almost a year, and my only regret now is that I didn't buy it sooner.
