BOOM! As some of you guessed there was the idea of releasing a Stainless Ascension, the only question was when. But after the huge reception our Aluminum 7075 Ascension received we got right to it, and man is this thing a beauty!

The entire razor is CNC machined and constructed of 316L Stainless Steel. 316L Stainless Steel has a few cool differences when compared to 303 & 304 Stainless Steel.

The Best Steel for The Job

For one, it is Marine Grade Stainless Steel, called type 316L, and resistant to certain types of staining familiar to those in the hobby. While similar to the cheaper 303 & 304 Type Stainless Steel, which is common in the food industry, 316L exhibits better corrosion resistance and is stronger at elevated temperatures.

Type 316L steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel that contains between two and three percent molybdenum. The molybdenum content increases corrosion resistance, and improves resistance to pitting and tea staining...Music to the ears, no?

Type 316L grade stainless steel is particularly effective in acidic environments. This grade of steel is effective in protecting against corrosion caused by sulfuric, hydrochloric, acetic, formic, and tartaric acids, as well as acid sulfates and alkaline chlorides.

In short, we could have gone cheap on this razor but we opted against that to deliver a truly superior razor! Fans of all things Stainless Steel are going to Absolutely LOVE our Latest Ascension DOC!

BOOM!!

It would be nice if you could try to keep some of your other brushes and razors in stock.

I agree. (and I wish it was that easy/simple)

If all we did was sell brushes or razors this would be much easier. Unfortunately, machining is VERY expensive and we are a small artisan so we do the best we can without breaking the bank and keeping the lights on. We have to order so many to keep the prices down for retail, it can be quite an investment as you can imagine...but we are happy to do this in order to offer our customers a fair price. As for brushes, we also try to keep them in stock, the Atomic currently being out is a fluke and should return soon. As for our machined brushes, same can be said for them as our razors, they are expensive to produce and really tie up funds until they sell...but they will return as always. As for everything we do as artisans in house, that is always in stock my friend! Thanks for understanding and Know, we are in fact Trying. Smile
