We go artificial. Had this tree for at least 30 years. Herself goes a little nuts decorating it. My oldest son usually puts on the topper. He missed the last two Christmas's because of deployments. So for those years there was no topper. He's home this year..

My Chanukah tree differs somewhat but it casts its increasing glow on my family for eight nights every year.
I made it years ago when finances where somewhat short. We have used it ever since. A family tradition.

Mickey, I love it.  I have many different menorahs and one or two unique ones.  This is a favorite I picked up in Chicago many years ago (though not the one I used this year).  Being a cat lover, I couldn't resist. Big Grin

It is unique, colourful, special and very appealing.

Puuuurrrfect.

Mine was made of one of the last remnants of a very old cherry tree that was on the Crown Grant of the original pioneer land owner of the 200 acre parcel of land on which my subdivision was built.

The fact that you made it and where the wood originated makes it extraordinary.

RetLEO-07,  I don't think your lady goes nuts with the decorating.  Rather, there is something uniquely happy about it which I think is perfect for the season. Happy2

Beautiful tree. Doesn't look overdone to me at all.

We live in a log cabin. Love wood. Your menorah looks great.

Freddy
That is adorable. Would make me smile every time I walked into the room

Our tree is white lights and all pewter ornaments. We have dogs and the pewter ornaments are safe if a happy wagging tail knocks one off. The dogs are the reason the tree is up off the ground as well. Plus more presents fit under there Smile

Those trees are beautiful.  Thank you for sharing them.  With the barrage of awful news this past year, these decorations remind me that most people truly do hope for peace on earth, warmth, and happiness.  We may not live in a perfect world but, as Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.”  All of these holiday decorations reminded me of that so, again, thank you for sharing. Smile
