If you are in the NY-NJ area just visiting or sightseeing or maybe you live there, you have to visit Pasteurs Pharmacy on 34th street between Madison and Park Avenue in Manhattan. This place has everything that a wet shaver could possibly want or need. They have probably the best selections of Shave Soaps and Creams like: Catie's Bubbles P.A.A., Shaver Heaven, Reef Point, Razorock, Crown King, i Colonali, Le Pere, T.O.B.S., DR. Harris, Tiki Bar, Proraso and Soap Smooth to name a few and their selection of Aftershaves is staggering and the prices are just as good and sometimes better than any online vendor including places like Amazon, West Coast Shaving, Italian Barber, & Maggard Razors to name a few. They also have a great selection of  Shave Brushes, Razors of all kinds and just about every brand of Razor Blades including Gillette, Feather, Sharp Polsilver, Astra, Personna and Voshkod to name a few. They carry razors from Feather, Above the Tie, Ikon, Merkur and they even have The Phoenix Double Open Comb Razor from P.A.A.. They have brushes from Simpsons, Semogue, Omega, Muhle and Vie Long along with Crown King and Fine Accoutrements. The best part is you get to hold these products and smell the different scents before you buy. The owner Leon is a great guy and is sometimes there to talk to you. Just to be clear, I do not work for them or get paid by them. I am just someone who gets pleasure from telling other shaving enthusiasts about any great experiences I have and this is the best of them all. Enjoy!

I walked right by the 34th Street Pasteur today and didn't even realize it until I was already on Madison. Oh well, I didn't need anything anyway.

Need anything?............. I don't get it!

I was on vacation there in January and I bumped into a guy who worked there, I don't know if it was Leon but he knew his stuff and we had a good chat about everything shaving. It's a great place with a huge inventory, I've never seen anything like it anywhere else.

I was in the neighborhood today by chance and stopped in. This is now artisan heaven. They have all of the above that natal lists and even LPL! Regular, unscented, cedar-patchouli, and rose! In large and small tins, and in plastic bags if you want to buy it without the tin. And every scent of Saponificio Varesino, including the 70th Anniversary Edition and the various matching balms!

I had a chance to smell them and a bunch of other things I'd been curious about. I spent about two hours browsing. Don't if I should be proud or embarrassed that all I left with is a bottle of Lucky Tiger aftershave balm. Trying to be disciplined  Angel

That's showing remarkable restraint Ted. I suppose if it's local then you don't have to go crazy and you can take your time and revisit when something piques your interest.
