This Au Naturale is fast becoming a favorite soap, making creamy and slick lather. The SOC boar knots are probably my favorite knot. I am happy to own 2 SOC boars, the Taj shown and the cherry wood that kicked it all off.

The star of the show, with such a wonderful supporting cast, was the Schick Type I Hydro-magic with a Japanese Schick blade. I often get great shaves from the Schick injectors, but the top spot for me is the Type I. Such a humble razor, yet if it wasn't for enjoying variety, this could easily be the only razor I need for close, comfortable shaves.

In other news, I just put a listing up in eBay. I am hoping to thin out some gear and raise some funds for future purchases. I used to be a chemistry teacher, and when I joined eBay in the late '90s, that was reflected in my username: chemguy1. The "1" because "chemguy" was taken and when you are seated in front of the terminal on dial up, every second counted and adding a "1" was the first variant I tried. 25 years or so later, I still freeze if I am prompted to change my password "on the spot!"

Wow! I just checked ebay and that is quite a lot of gear in one auction.
I hope the auction goes well!

Thanks! Dave has mentioned a couple of times that selling in a lot prevents only your Big Stuff to go. I hope I put enough into this lot to attract attention, get some bids, and move some gear.

If you don't get any bites, it's only because no one that wanted the things in it saw it. It's a good deal !

Thanks! I was debating shooting you a PM about it. I struggled to find a balance between what I could accept and want I wanted from it. It is only set for 3 days, but that's fine, I'll tweak it and try again. Also, some of your thoughts in your recent shave videos prompted me to evaluate use and enjoyment. While all are enjoyable to use, other razors are preferred or used more. This is me trying to trim down AND have funds to try some other stuff!! Again, thanks for the video ruminations and your direct input here!

I wish I didn't have as much as I do to reduce. I may lean towards eBay as well. They just take such a huge slice between sellers fees and PayPal fees combined

My desire would be to sell to someone here. But I also do want to move this stuff. Maybe I'll list it here sort of piecemeal and see. Decisions, decisions. If all goes well with weather and the mail carrier, I may have several items arriving tomorrow! I expect to enjoy them, but also hope that RAD doesn't infect me again!

Wow Eric!  That's a commendably bold auction.  It's clear that you thought things through and picked a reasonable, if not the best option.  Now all you need is some good luck.

Well, good luck!

Mail call!

First is a new brush. The Kryptonite by CaYuen Workshop, with a 25mm Muhle STF knot.

And a wonderful razor, unasked for, came to stay for a few days, on loan from the gentleman in Maryland, Fluffy

My first shave with the Osprey was outstanding! I had a fresh Israeli Red and set the razor to level 3, which according to the Blackland website is in my comfort zone. What a smooth and efficient shave! I'll be trying other settings but this one shave has me very impressed with this razor!
