Just wanting to share show off the handles Freddiep318ti restored and how they look now after a few uses each.  Cool

You did a great job on the knots! They go with the handles perfectly.

Here is the other handle that came in last week. It is the Erskine and was originally a nylon bristle. I love the colors, and it now has a Maggard Razors G5 knot. The knot, to me, splays easier than the AP Shave Co G5A, but I bet it is nearly the same knot. And compared to the badger knots I have been using this week, it is more firm! I will use it some more before passing judgment on whether or knot (he he) I replace it.

And I recently (yesterday!) received a box from Maggard Razors. One item was Arianna and Evans unscented soap. It is labeled as a cream, it is in a tub, and it is very soft. Can you load on a cream, or should I put the "almond" sized amount in the scuttle?

Depending on how soft it is, you could theoretically load a cream. However, anything that isn't croap or harder gets scooped in my den. Less chance to ruin a (cream) soap.

To prevent ruination, I think I'll be a scooper!

One of my favorite Christmas movies, Christmas in Connecticut, has a scoop versus fiip scene for flap jacks!
