One of the techs I work with is retired Navy, and her husband a retired Army officer. His expulsions are deadly enough that she gave him his own "Defacatorium" for his personal use, as long as he keeps the door shut! She claims the gases are denser than air and will flow out into the rest of the home!

I have been enjoying some lovely shaves with the Karve Christopher Bradley razor and an Israeli Red blade. I left it up on the BST here and another forum, but no bites yet. I decided to shave with it some this week. I have to say, I love the look and it is giving me good enough shaves that I have no qualms keeping this razor around. I will put a Wizamet into it for my next workday and see how that goes. The Wizamet in the Overlander has really been great.

Also, I have been doing some passes with the Razorock razors Mike loaned me. I am so tempted to get a Game Changer 84, as that shaves so sweet! But I have 2 Overlanders, the original Christopher Bradley, and the Yates 921 that all shave to my expectations. And I have 3 vintage DE razors that work well. Adding more seems silly at times and necessary at others!

But I am having more fun than I thought possible doing a chore I used to trudge through!

Sitting home now after an old filling was repaired. I hate feeling hungry when half my face is numb! Even drinking is perilous as I slosh it over my chin!

And guess what day it is!!

Dave, I will get back to you on that! I am 90% certain I'll take it. Does it have a handle? I will try Mike's with my Karve handle as well, since I have it available right now. But thanks for helping me open my wallet.... Cool

There are pics in the archived thread with handle. Sorry but at least if you're wanting it, the price is less than new. No pressure from me whatsoever. Happy2

Okay okay I give! Uncle!  Tongue

I have Mike's permission to share this, as I thought it fully summed up the camaraderie we have!

"If it is the Super Knurl you like, please just keep it.  It is not my favorite, and I am pretty sure I have another.  OTOH I'd like the UFO back.

So at most the handle if $15, and maybe free on top of a very sweet deal from Dave.  If there's one thing you can count on Eric, it's that when we enable you, you get the full treatment.   Wink

Happy shaves amigo.

Congrats !!!

Edited - Well I look like a self backslapper. I thought Mike was giving him a GC razor. "Dense Dave" was informed he was being enabled x2 as Mike was gifting generously a handle to go with the razor from me. Sorry for my confusion..........Carry on with the Yooper Channel Big Grin

This morning I grabbed the Asylum injector blade razor and had a pretty good shave. Very close. With the first couple of strokes I remembered that this isn't the CB Karve and I needed to pay more attention! I found the angle fairly quickly, but realized the Asylum shaves CLOSE! No ATG on the face, as that route can be harsh for me when I am using new tools. Sure i could slow down and do it, but today is a day off so I thought What the heck, just do a good 2 1/2 pass shave (ATG on my neck usually is good. Go figure, right?!). I pushed it a little and went ATG in the van Dyke area and got 3 weepers on my chin. Dang! Just what I wanted to avoid! Several days with a Karve must have affected more than I thought. Or I didn't really have the angle down.

Given the razor name, and the blood, I thought of this song. And that made me think of ExtraProtein! (for the music stuff, not the blood!)

What a wonderful lather Macduffs_Soap_Co makes! I will be sticking with this for at least a week. So creamy and slick.

What a work weekend, I am glad it's over! Being busy is one thing, but as my buddy Ohio Bob put, I was a one-armed paper hanger in the pharmacy! 3 hours into Saturday, my lone tech got a call that she had been in direct contact with a family member for the last few days who tested positive that morning. My tech wasn't feeling good, like the family member, but came to work and was masking, in order to not spread the cold, if it was. No expected omicron! (kind of like Monty Python, Noone expects the Inquisition!)

But I survived with hardly any nastiness and I ran my fool head off! Today was marginally better, at least I had a tech, but she can only count and cashier, and some insurance stuff, but not data entry. So again I am wearing many hats!

But that's not the point! The point is the shaves!! Man, I am loving this MacDuff's unscented soap!! I don't fully understand the which ingredient is what, but together they make a powerfully great soap!

Stearic Acid, *Tallow, Glycerine, Castor Oil, *Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, *Babassu Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Coconut Oil, *Camellia Seed Oil, Mango Butter, Aloe Vera, Goat Milk, Hydrolyzed Oat Protein, Sodium Lactate, *Argan Oil, *Jojoba Oil, *Pumpkin Seed Oil, Silk Peptides, Green Tea Extract, White Willow Bark Powder
