Lot's of new (to me) stuff!
The only "old to me" stuff was the Fluffy brush!
Asylum injector had the Proline B-20 blade (new in that this is the first time with that blade in the replacement razor, also new this week)
Captain's Choice was new to me this week
Ethos First Lather was gifted from Paul mrdoug Thanks again!
Not shown was the PAA Travel Scuttle, new to me from Paul
All together they made for a great shave!

Yup, Ground hogged it today! Same set up as yesterday. I am getting better shaves from the Asylum as I learn how it wants to shave. But time to change things up for next week.
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Two, count them, 2 Hydro-magic injectors will be used this week! On the right is my original (to me) Type I. According to Schick Type I and J injectors for Dummies, it is a 1st variant, style 1. On the left is the chrome version, a 2nd variant, style 1. The chrome was produced immediately after the brass (?) version, and I find it shaves a bit more aggressively. So, I will use one then the other the next day and see if I can pin it down more.
Blade: Chrome has a Schick blade from Japan, while the other a sChick blade, both with 3 uses or less.
Soap: Sir Henry's Black Tie #13.
Brush: APSCo Luxury mixed badger/boar (70/30) in Nacar Oscuro by Trotter Handcrafts

The chrome Schick had the duty today (thanks Dave in KY) and provided a great shave. Well, mostly. I got a little carried away with the ATG under my schnoz and earned a few weepers!
Other than that, it left me RCS and refreshed!

Fat Tuesday!
And what a wonderful lather and shave!
I made a discovery this morning. I have stated that the chrome Type I Hydro-magic shaves a wee bit more aggressively than my other Hydro-magic. Well, in looking at my notes I found that I have only been using a Japanese Schick blade. So I swapped it for a sChick with 3 shaves on it that had been in another razor. And vee-oh-lay (voila for the uneducated amongst us!), I had a superb shave almost exactly like I'd expect from the other Hydro-magic: no weepers and no irritation against the grain.
Off to work now. Mondays are always a wild time, and Tuesdays are Monday Part II as I work short-handed until our third tech can come in at 3PM. Our overlords say we don't "earn" enough time for a part-timer to help out, "but you are very close. See if you can increase your script count some more."
Better stop there, I am trying to be Mr Positive today, lol!

Have a great Tuesday/Monday Part 2 and stay positive. Great shave discovery to save the razor from the death knell

You would not believe how happy I am with switching blades! (Or maybe you can ) I love the look of that Hydro-magic and to discover that it is as smooth an operator as the other makes me happier than I probably should be! I am very appreciative of your finding this for me!

William's Wednesday
Another wonderful shave with the revitalized chrome Hydro-magic! I managed to get a couple weepers ATG under the nose, but it was smooth sailing regardless. Maybe this razor is ever so slightly more aggressive? Or maybe Eric just was mindlessly enjoying the smooth shave and got careless! Either way, it was a fun shave, and relaxing. (7 years ago I never would have described a shave as fun. But now? It is a valued part of every day!)
And for those noting the day of the week:

For the upcoming week.
1964 Gillette Slim
Wizamet blade
Stirling Unscented with Beeswax
AP Shave Co Rose Gold Fleck SynBad
Why 2 soaps? The plan is to do a 1508.5 on the Black Tie soap. What the heck is that? 1508.5 is the every other day use of a soap, in order to use it up without using that soap exclusively!
Stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay kind!
