But it sure is hard to decide what stays and what goes! I had hoped to take pictures and post on BSTs, but it isn't looking like I can meet that time frame.

This morning's shave was a wonderful experience, brought to me through the generosity of friends and the skill of a hobbyist artisan.

A chrome-plated Type I Hydro-magic Schick injector from Dave, and the custom handle Samish Dusk with a Manchurian badger from Paul. It was a wonderful shave!
As you see, the soap was Mystic Water Soap, which I first "discovered" when I got into this "hobby" back in November 2015. I believe it was the 3rd soap (1st artisan) and I read about it on the forums. The first two were Amazon purchases, Trufitt & Hill and Taylor of Old Bond Street. Neither cut it for me, but I was brand-spanking new to this traditional shave thing, so it also could have been me.  All I know for sure is that I have found great pleasure in shaving like my Dad before he discovered electric razors, and I have found many great guys on these pages!

Modern, Mistura, and Mystic Water!
No photo, but it did happen.

APSCo mixed knot
Mystic Water Sensitive Skin

The Yates, for me, gives an audible shave like an injector or GEM razor, making me glad that I am not shaving in the bedroom for fear of waking my wife up! There must be like an echo chamber or sound amplification system made by the lather slots and other machining to get so a full, rich sounding shave  Tongue

The Winnowing work continues. Today the photo shoot was to start, but the ad copyist is demanding more definition on the actual items and at least something about each one. And the photographer wants better lighting and a clean space to work in, wanting more than the cluttered counter used in the past. So, we'll have a team meeting after lunch and I will probably have to lay down the hard truth: we are a small group with no capital, put up or shut up!

The reason for no capital is that I scrounged around the 'bay for some now vintage Israeli Reds!

Hope your Thursday goes well!

The Nacar Oscuro is sporting a new knot, as it donated it's knot to another member. Now it has an AP Shave Co Luxury mixed knot. Wonderful!
