I'm glad I made you laugh Eric, because I intended the final remark to be humorous.  But make no mistake (not that you would) about how serious every other word was.  This is a great crew.

So... should we have a separate thread for the monthly shopping restraint? No place jumps out as the appropriate home, honestly. Do we just add it as a 'topic' in our Journals?

I'll keep an eye out. The accountability is good, and I look forward to the good-natured ribbing and support!

Ok, I'm going to start the thread and we'll see how well it works. I'm only doing a 2022 thread. Not monthly. I don't think Andrew would appreciate 12 threads. Lol.

I'm predicting that thread to have very few posts after January.  Angel This place is full of enablers. If you do start the new thread Eric. In an attempt to help it be successful. We should also rename the SOTD thread, TEMPTATION ALLEY.
In the spirit of this endeavor.  I will offer a special Fluffy Industries "Impulse Control Edition Brush". Should any of you go the entire year of 2022 sans wet shaving "goody" purchase. You'll get my yet to be imagined handle commemorating the achievement.  I do have a concept I've been mulling around about a totally different way of fashioning a copper handle out of a common form of copper other than plumbing fittings.

We can make it monthly within the thread, sort of a call if anyone wants to do another month. It may fizzle after a month or two, then pick up again if some feel the need to put the brakes on for a bit. The more I consider it, the more I think a month here and there will help me stop making quick decisions and stop and think a bit. When I was a young teen, with my first job and first paycheck, I wanted all sorts of stuff, mostly books, records, and D&D stuff! Dad gave me this advice: write down what you want on a slip of paper and put it in your dresser drawer. If after a week you still want it, then go ahead and get it. Man, sometimes those weeks were looonngggg. And other times, the slips changed every other day! This break should really help me get my focus back on enjoying what I have, and sharing what I can!

Any changes that you folks think should be made to the original post, let me know. I just winged it. Lol.

Fluffy wow. That is generous of you. I can already predict I won't be that guy. I do have confidence in January and maybe February. Lol.
