Yup, furnace shut off over night, so weekend emergency repair call. Oh joy. The furnace has a computer that needs the tech to be able to access. All the owner gets is an on/off switch and an LCD screen that flashes Danger, Will Robinson! But on the bright and warm side, we should have heat again! Very manageable 65 inside, but my wife's illness makes her extremely sensitive to temp changes, so the sooner we get heat back, the better she'll be. I have her tucked into bed with blankest, heating pad, small ceramic space heater, and a cat! I kept one cat for me, but he prefers the sunroom, which is cooler (in all senses!) and has the birdfeeders to monitor. Traitor.
Hope your Saturday is less expensive and going better!
Thanks, Dave! If it was January, the humor would be absent! I am thankful it happened now. Furnace man says faulty pressure switch, so he is making me a "jumper" to make sure we are okay until the part comes in. Temp almost back to preferred temp for my wife. Glad I have used this company for years, they take care of us. The price will be what it is, and we will be glad for heat!
Glad you got the in laws squared away. Ah, meters! I forgot what those were. For the last 20 years I have lived in Maine, and there is only recently piped natural gas to homes in some areas of some towns. The rest of us use fuel oil tanks or a propane "pig" on site. We have propane.

Well said Dave!
Eric: Good luck with the furnace.
Dave: Glad you got the in-laws back online.
Thanks, Mike! All working now, with parts on order and a jumper switch if needed.
