So I ordered a couple of knots from TGN. This is one, a 27mm knot
[Image: bpr8HSl.jpg]

The photo is from the website. That black cup is deep, and wider than any socket that I have. I read, after doing a quick search, that this is meant to be dropped in a professional brush? Any one have experience with this kind of thing? I am thinking of carefully cutting it away so I can put it in an existing handle.

There's a video about extraction from the cup. Looks somewhat easy, but you need a sanding tool as the glue is crazy below it.

Trying to remember what I searched for to find it.

EDIT: Found it:

I had intended this knot for my Fluffy Industries Copper handle, but it went from being too big with that plastic sleeve to now too small! So I am still looking for the right knot. If I can't find a good boar, maybe I'll try one of the Maggard badger knots like Dave recently bought, or take a recommendation from the crew!

For fun, I popped it into Cascadia Line, and really liked how it looked!

Thanks again to Paul for that video he posted. Right on, man, right on!

I like how it looks in that. I have a Maggards 70/30 Badger/Boar knot in mine. I forget the size but probably 26mm. Just another option Happy2

FWIW - I had a pretty awful experience with the Maggards 70/30 Badger/Boar. They are 24mm BTW.

Easily the dirtiest, worst smelling knot I've ever purchased. Could not get the smell out either. Also shed non-stop and had a rough feel on the face (even after about 20 lathers).

Who knows, maybe I got a dud?

Forewarned is forearmed.  Thx for the 411. (No need to sugarcoat it next time. Smile)
