I haven’t tried one, but have heard good things!

I just looked at the knots. Why, why do you folks keep finding me stuff that I have to try?!
Lol, I hear ya. I may try this if my AP Synth Boar isn't any good.

Have you used it yet Eric? Mine is arriving Monday (maybe).

No, I just brushed them on the back of my hand.
But now I am curious about the TGN knots, and the Turn N Shave premium knot. I think Paul is doing this to coax or entice me into adding another beautiful handle!  Big Grin

I am trying to sell off 5 brushes to make more room!

Hmm... Do you think he gets commission from Turn N Shave? Lol.

That boar knot he sent is quite intriguing. I might pick one up anyway.

If you guys buy knots… you’ll obviously need handles!

This week's set up
[Image: 9sLizPe.jpg]

The GEM Damaskene alternating with the GEM Jr.

Continue with the SOC boar (which I am really liking)

Stirling Unscented with Beeswax

These two razors are amazing, and around 100 years old now. They are, for me, so smooth and efficient. I get a drama-free and very close, long lasting shave. An injector like the Type M or I can be even better (due to those injectors getting under the nose easily), but somehow the weight, feel, or look of the old GEM adds something intangible, and to me, elevates the shave.

There was time this afternoon to pull a knot out of the Northeast Ice handle and set in a 26mm synthetic boar knot, which is a new one over at Andrew Palumbo's AP Shave Co. It will be fun to compare notes with Paul mrdoug as we both try these out.

I like different aspects of both these snaps, so I am posting both!

I also pulled the knot out of the Fluffy Industries Copper handle. Not sure if I'll go with a larger synthetic boar, or a Oumo 2BED, or wait for the a true boar knot. The SOC 24mm boar is so nice to use. I took examples from Tim MilkCrate and Paul Stubble Daddy, and ordered a TGN boar and a Turn n Shave ungelled shoat boar knot.

Tuesday is just around the corner, hope you have a good one!

Looks good Eric. It'll be awhile until the handle mine is destined for arrives. So the comparison will be skewed by a few weeks, I think.

I think all three would look great in the Fluffy Ind. handle. If your looking for a reason to choose one over the other, how about this: Isn't Ken a predominantly natural brush guy? Maybe go with the Boar in there to honor his creation. Just an idea.

Happy Tuesday!

I like the way you put that! The boar knots I ordered should work, but I better check it out.
