Like many yesterday, I followed the train wreck of just what is the BST.  I even opined at one point. In the end, Dave summed it up well in his video showing us the RWNN (did I get that right? Razor with no name?): we were going in circles, preaching to one side or the other, and not getting anywhere.

I am very thankful for the friends I have here, and have received so much support, encouragement, laughs, and tears. And even Swag!! And great offers from many for awesome items, just to help share the joy. That is the spirit of community that I cherish here.

Tomorrow we may be going to Beth Israel in Boston to meet the team. They are having one more meeting this afternoon, and may have to reschedule IF the team decides the current lead surgeon may not be the best fit. This surgeon has some questions she'd like the rest of the team to consider, and help her decide if a different doc would be the best fit. If that is the case, and if that doc can't make tomorrow's meet and greet with us, then we'd reschedule. Obviously we'd like to get moving, but these folks have really helped us calm down and we are willing to trust their decision and go with it. It would at most move the appoint a week out, we are told. As I said, we are impressed with how they got the ball rolling even as our local group kept making it an up hill roll (not intentionally, but either incompetence or short handed, or a mix.)

hope we all have a great Thursday!

Best of luck with everything going on with you and your wife. You’re in good hands.

I’m grateful for members such as yourself, Dave in KY  Stubble Daddy  Fluffy and countless others for helping to make DFS an enjoyable forum where friends old and new can hangout and share not just shaving, but life as well. That “bozo eruption “ on the bst recently was unfortunate. There was a fair amount of discussion among the mods, probably the most discussion and disagreement that I’ve seen among the team. We did not reach a consensus but we’re moving on. We’ll see what happens. Again, thanks for all of your contributions.

Boston Update
Another surgeon and team is thought to be the better fit/choice, so we will not go this week. While a bummer, we both get to sleep!

Highlights from the tele-meeting according to my wife were the professionalism and empathy displayed while on the call, and the statement emphasizing that this is not necessarily cancer!

I kind of feel like the boy who cried Wolf! Still, it is good knowing that the actual scans and images were evaluated by experts in the field, and they are working to provide the best help they can for my wife. This makes us both convinced we did the right thing versus staying within the local hospital system.

Many many thanks for all the likes, well wishes, and words of encouragement and support.  Heart
It means more to me than I can convey, as I have been told recently that I don't ask for help enough for myself. This forum, and the guys who "talk" to me, help me keep it together and appreciate what I have! As the Ozz-man sang, "It gets me through."
