A mysterious white envelope made it to the mail vault. Apparently it passed the bomb dogs and the drug dogs and was deemed OK. Confused2

Well, I almost needed sunglasses to see what was inside!  Cool

And here I am, ready to shave! (Ken Fluffy said one must be safe around razors!)

It's only a XXXL, but I am a growing lad!

Thanks so much, Ken! I shall wear it every time I give an injection or carry a syringe from the fridge to the vaccination room! (I wonder if I need those swirling or flashing lights?!)

I believe in an earlier post in this thread, I mentioned getting less than desirable shaves using my CB Karve. It was depressing. I had sentiment, time, and money invested in that razor, and now was getting nicked and irritation when I used it. Thoughts of selling it entered my noggin, as the SE experience has been so good.

Well (deep subject signifier), I dialed up my Schick Type M and got nicked/irritation until I dropped back down to 5 or lower. This, and some comments from a friend over in another locale, got me thinking of what worked in the Karve and what had I used recently. Most recent blade was a Bic Chrome Platinum, which memory tells me I had some bad/tuggy blades before. So I went back to basics, which is Mystic Water soap, a SynBad brush, and an Israeli Red blade, a blade that has worked in every DE razor I have tried. And it worked again! I am relieved and so very pleased at the outcome!

Glad you like it Eric. Thanks again for the surprise knot. You had mentioned in a previous post about lab coat sizing. Thus the XXXL size.
And remember that "Safety is a Full Time Job".  Also those shirts come in handy if you need to shave during a power outage.
Take care, Ken

And for fellow sufferers of "maskne," then end is here, I think. In Maine, the mask mandate is being lifted as we have something like 60-70% adult vaccination rate. In practical terms, this means folks at the pharmacy will be able to once again admire my cleanly shaven visage! More importantly, keep staying safe and protect those you love!

Sort of an action shot this morning! I just love Sensitive Skin from Mystic Water! Michelle made a winner here, and I am proud to say there has always been a puck in my drawer since late 2015. While unscented, it does have an aroma from the ingredients. To me, that is a happy smell, one that reminds me of the joy discovering a better way to shave and to feel!

And I am digging my Groovy handle from Trotter Handcrafts, with a Timberwolf knot recommended my Dave. Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Late afternoon shave today, using the NEWest razor to me, courtesy of Paul mrdoug

Shaved like a dream, hardly any feel of the teeth, and I am very pleased! Thank you, Paul, for sharing this with me!

Edit: 5 hours later, and I am amazed at how smooth my face is!

Some good stuff, and not so good stuff.

First, the good.  The 2 Band Extra Dense synthetic (2BED) has a new home!

And now the bad news. The DSotM handle did not survive the operation. That silicone must have bonded with the resin. In removing the knot, I irreparably damaged the handle.  Sad

Akk, sorry to hear that. Post some pics, maybe the experts here can give you some idea of whether it's repairable?
