That's kind you Dave, but I see it as "more in need of structure" than you. The shavette focus is a big stretch for me, and self-preservation dictates the regimen. I allowed myself to stray from the plan over the weekend, as some folks do, but only slightly in my case. Specifically, I switched from the birchwood DX to the Sextoblade on Saturday. It got to be a bit nerve-wracking. The more exposed blade was not the problem at all. In fact, I liked it. The problem was that I had gotten used to the greater weight and rock-solid, firm scales of the DX. Most of us can most often switch back and forth among safety razors without batting an eyelash, but fewer, I think, can do that with shavettes & straights. In any case, without the fear factor I can, to quote the song, be as restless as a willow in a windstorm.
