It took a long time, almost a year, but an independent review sided with my wife. This past Thursday, we received a letter from the insurance company that they are rescinding the coverage of the treatment. So here we go again.

Shaving is a time that I can step away from the problems in life, and enjoy what I used to view as a chore. And when I am done, I face the day as a clean shaven man!

We are hanging in, and getting ready to fight!

Sorry to hear this Eric, insurance companies can make an already difficult struggle even worse

In another thread, I'd kidded about Dave whacking me with the Enabilzer stick.  Well, he did!

Oh, you don't have one of these yet in any version ?? Sorry, I missed that then......

I had looked around the Yates site, and liked what I read about the company and the owners.  I had a brief but pleasant email exchange with Jake YatesPrecision and decided I really wanted to try the 921-M NOW (from the only true Willie Wonka film (Gene Wilder), and the song I Want It Now)

So that is my story and I am sticking with it!!  Of course, this knocked me out of a monthly restraint I was in (and almost made it, you may notice!), but I am very happy with my decision and many thanks to Jake for such prompt response.

On the home front, my wife is in good spirits (although not feeling great, and is ready to take on the insurance company. I am the official typist and secretary, while she is the general directing the troops, which include me, several doctors, and a nurse practioner!!

Exactly my thinking!! I am debating dropping out of the pass around, as now I have one coming (satin finish). You seem to like/need more aggressive razors than me, so I only ordered the M plate. And I tend not to like the teeth-feel of open combs, so no hybrid plate either. I need to check the pass around, for if those are there, I may just stay on the list.

In other shave news, I am strongly thinking of getting the open comb for the Vector, as several reviews on this and other forums state it doesn't have a bad teeth feel! Who's that for contradictory statements!! I had a Maggard Razors open comb, V2 IIRC, and I liked it. Plus, I kinda want the stand. But we'll see!

******* updated info *************
I am holding out on the Vector open comb. Instead, I am adding two Schick injectors, an M2 adjustable and a G like my avatar used in the Mr. Blandings movie. Now I want to get back on the restraint wagon!

I am finishing off the Nil. I thought I had the angle right so that the little scrap could be seen, but I guess my Kamera-foo is not there yet!

Hey Alan AlanH81, the Karve has been giving me great shaves for the week! With the polish it wants to zip around my face, especially with the A plate. I had to check and make sure I had a blade loaded, it was so smooth! Thanks again!

When I got back from some errands, I found the plow guy (not Plow Guy like Fluffy but the guy who clears our driveway) trying to pull a delivery van back onto our inclined drive. Seems the dude had balding tires on his van (a Caravan). Very thankful no one injured and very grateful our plow guy was there to help!
