While getting ready to shave this morning, I had an idea to hopefully capture how different blades look in the Amakuni. Here are my amateur attempts at showing differences.

Not sure I can see much, but maybe others can see more that makes sense. The ProTouch was the one that jumps out, both the guards and how little blade exposure there is.

PAA Star Craft 24mm Roswell Grey knot

Another fine shave. According to my count, I have now used the Schick Proline blade 5 times since December, the Kai ProTouch 6 times, and the Kai Capt. Titan Mild 3 times. So I plan to use a new Feather Professional blade tomorrow and Saturday. The other 2 styles I have but don't plan to try at this point are the Feather ProGuard blades and the Feather Super Professional blades. The latter were a freebie in a purchase, and I haven't had the intestinal fortitude to try them yet! When I had the Vector, that was a given hard pass. But now, I have this nice Tatara razor, and I have the very friendly Yaqi Romulus. So I should "man up" and try out the Supers!

Pretty good shave but a little rough, getting 4 red spots. Hopefully it will smooth out tomorrow!

Much better shave today. Same set up as yesterday but I changed the blade from the Feather Professional to the Kai Captain Titan Mild. My face is much happier!

Thanks, Dave in KY! The Athena is from a BST and is in immaculate condition. And it shaves like nobody's business! I had to check and make sure I had a blade in, ha ha. It's got a bit of heft, but if any razor I have can unseat my Overlander, this one may be that razor. Time will tell, but I don't really care who is on top, as long as they do a comparable job with no nicks, cuts, or irritation!

Have a good night and I hope Monday treats you well!
