I'm sure I'm not the only one living in an older house without an ac duct in the bathroom. does anyone wait a while after showering before shaving in their hot bathroom in the summer months?

I do put a fan in my window, but when it's 95+ outside like it's been this past week here in Philly, it doesn't do all that much!

Oh man, that sounds like my nightmare! Though, to be honest, our AC unit is severely underpowered for our house, and when it hits 90+, well, hot showers are something I largely leave behind anyway. But, to answer your question, yes - but moreso because I shower in the morning, shave in the afternoon/evening :p

I take a bath in bathroom A and then shave in bathroom B. I have two bathrooms.

Is this all right?

Sweating while shaving is unpleasant for sure. I do have central AC and have a fan in the bathroom. I try to wait a minimum of 30 minutes after showering before going back in for a shave.

I shave in the shower.

I use the second bathroom we have in the basement. My issue is mostly in the winter and being uncomfortably cold down there.
Shave yourself.

I haven't had to shave in 90+ heat yet, but I certainly will this summer...

In summers past, I always took cool showers anyhow, unless I shower late at night, after it has had a chance to cool way down. But generally speaking, I'm used to taking cool showers in the summer, and I've already gotten used to cold water scuttle and rinse shaves, so that's the plan for the inevitable heat waves this summer...

95+!!! I surely don't miss living on the eastern part of the continent! I'll take this cool, wet, temperate climate, any day! Big Grin

Good luck, Andrew, and I would advice taking cold showers, shaving with cold water, or even ice-cold water. Fill your sink with ice-cubes and have a go with your shave. Happy2

The real question is why peeps think that the only comfortable shave is only after showering? You can wet ur face with water, wait for a minute and start making ur lather because the whiskers are softened up enough for trouble free shave
