Marko, Mickey Oberman, and wyze0ne, I have to thank you for this second page of a great thread.  Wonderful ideas with a lot of humor.  And, yes, Mickey, as you point out, there are advantages to living alone.

This is a fun thread.
If you have a soap that just doesn’t quite moisturize enough, put a couple drops of your favorite aftershave balm on the soap puck and then lather up, boom, moisture shave. This also applies to creams.

Decided to post this hack on a separate thread, just for clarity’s sake:

The condensed idea: I like to use rubber rings or rubber bands between the razor head and the handle to 1) reduce wear between parts 2) add an element of friction to the tightening and loosening of a razor handle.

Thats pretty cool Matsilainen , do you have any difficulties getting the o ring off when you want to take the blade out?

Sometimes just a little bit, but mostly I’m used to it now. It helps if the fingernails aren’t at their shortest. And it’s always important to remember that there’s a blade there, close by…

Regarding your getting out of the shower towel and potato chip bag clip hack. I sometimes put on my robe but I do not put my arms in the sleeves so then I just use the belt that comes with the robe tie that around my waist.
