A very nice shave this morning. Since this is a 3017 on this soap, I am randomly changing hardware to keep it interesting. Life is good!

The eldest granddaughter is recovering from Covid. Luckily she didn’t get hit too hard. And now my son-in-law has it. That’s different households in different cities. We are getting some weight put on the draft horse too. I had a mail call today from SV also. I think that’s all I have for you today.

I'm sorry your loved ones are being touched by COVID Tim.  Best of luck to them!

On a different note, I was interested in the interchange between you and Dave.  I can't speak about the 70th, but IMO the Felce is very nice.

Thanks Mike! I am leaning towards the 70th, but haven’t lathered either one yet because of a 3017 on my current soap/AS set. The Felce smells good too and seems stronger off the puck. The ultimate test will be how they wear on me.

I have 70th and several other SV samples. I can send them your way if you like.

Many thanks Tim.  That's a very kind offer, but I'm swamped, plus FWIW it's still January, and even with gifts, I feel better about taking a pass.

The Deets-
TGIF! I wrapped up the week with straight razor shaves and they were nice! Dang it, now that I am trying to wrap up this soap I am digging the scent even more. Oh well, the rotation is still stocked with goodness, when I get back to it. I have also rocked the brush warmer this week. Man, that hot lather is some goodness! Hit the soap and loaded up some creamy goodness for my shave.

20 laps on linen and 60 on leather and it was go time. I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. I still have a good edge on this one, but may hit the Ark with it this weekend. I have a few others to do also. Skipped the Witch Hazel most of the week. Wrapped everything up with a splash of the aftershave and everything was right as rain! Ah … the simple pleasures. Life is good!

Home Front-
So … it’s been a hot mess this week at the office. Thankfully several unplanned outages have forced us to postpone a scheduled outage for this weekend. Had to have a plumber out to the house the other day because everything was draining slow. We are on septic and there is a break in the main pipe and mud had fallen in. Have that temporarily fixed because the correct fix will be about 2k … yuck. Also had our water trough drain plug break, with no parts available to fix. So … the horses have a new trough.

And the good news. I was sent a Genco Henry XX razor. Not sure if it was originally a 4/8, but it is now. Any additional info would be appreciated. Needs a good cleaning and a trip to the stones. I was also gifted a puck of Stirling Intrepid Man from Bruce. Thank you again Bruce! Off the puck it smells really nice. Can’t wait to try it. I have a tub coming soon for this one, from the misses. She is wrapping up one of her Stirling soaps. I still need a tub for my Felce Aromatica. Where do you guys get the clear or white tubs with the black lids? I think that’s all I have today.

Changed up the razor and brush today. Think I got some food poisoning last night. I was violently sick. Today I am tired and rough around the edges. So there’s some deets for ya. Life is good!
