  1. Watch plenty of TV - especially football and great outdoors shows.
  2. Lay back on the couch, and don't forget to put your legs up on the coffee table.
  3. Drink only pale beers.  They don't stain the couch so bad as the dark beers.
  4. Remember:  The pizza delivery guy is your friend.  Be nice to him.
  5. A varied diet is important, so the same goes for Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc, and regardless of gender or gender identity.  And don't keep drinking the same beer every night either. There are plenty of pale hefeweizens, lagers, pilsners to choose from.
  6. A clean kitchen is important, so wash the dishes at least once a week - more often if the flies get too bad.
  7. Keep telling yourself "Batchin' it is great."  Who knows, you might start believing it ... for a while.

...

And getting back to life as we know it ... Good luck on the home front Tim, and good luck to your wife and her daughter too.

Thanks Mike! I like the way you think.

Shave Count (DE: 504 SE: 9 SR: 797)

Pre Shave-
Strop: none
Scuttle: none
Splash and go

Shave-
Razor: Gillette Slim
Blade: ?
Brush: Simpson Berkeley Badger
Soap: RR Santa Maria whatever (sample)

Post Shave-
Post shave lather
AS: Florida Water

The Deets-
Oh the tales of times and tribulations I have for you today. But more on that shortly. Today I thought I would go with another sample I hadn’t tried yet. Not sure if the sample is old or the scent is just really mild on this one. I think I picked up just a faint whiff of Eucalyptus. Dropped a bit down into the copper bowl and went to work. This one actually surprised me, it whipped up a bunch of nice, wet lather very quickly.

The shave was very nice and I was once again surprised with the slickness and residual slickness. I never picked up much of a scent during the shave though. Three easy passes and I am BBS for the win! That really was a very nice shave and I wasn’t expecting as much from RR. Not sure why. Chased that with some Florida Water and everything was right as rain!

Home Front-
Day 4 of our abandonment and I have the following observations. In 3 days, it will be a whole week that we have been left to our own devices. Just a chill day today and I needed it. The only thing of importance was taking a large load of clean clothes to the local thrift store. The sales from that store support a battered women and childrens shelter.

Other than that I am just bumming around. Visited with my brother FTF for a few minutes yesterday and we were planning to cookout today. He called me about an hour after we talked and had got a call from the doctors office. He had an appointment yesterday and they were calling to tell him (after his visit) that their Receptionist tested positive for Covid. Great! I told him we’ll try the cookout in a couple of weeks. So we remain isolated and wait … again. Geez!

Shave Count (DE: 504 SE: 9 SR: 798)

Pre Shave-
Strop: Tony Miller Notovan
Scuttle: none
Splash and go

Shave-
Razor: Torrey SR
Blade: none
Brush: Trotter Handcrafts Birch / TGN Boar
Soap: MWF

Post Shave-
Post shave lather
AS: SV Cosmo (sample)

The Deets-
Today I hit The Fat and tried another SV aftershave sample. Had a decent shave, but a bit messy. I had too much water in my soap, but it worked. As you might imagine, the lather was a bit runny but still took care of business. Three smooth passes and I am BBS for the win! Followed that up with a splash of the aftershave and everything was right as rain! I wasn’t sure about this aftershave when I first put it on. I’m not sure how to describe what I initially smelled and I thought this is unfortunate. But whatever that scent was didn’t last long and the dry down was very nice. Life is good!

The Fat is new to me, and I look forward to trying it out soon, for a week. My first (and only!) use was a bit of a mess, too.

Another fun report, Tim!

The Deets-
Had a very nice shave this morning. Trying to go back to my old normal and stick with this kit for the entire work week. We’ll see how it goes. The scent sounded good and it was. I whipped up a nice, wet lather and got to it. Three smooth passes later and I was BBS for the win! Wrapped everything up with a splash of the aftershave and everything was right as rain! Life is good!

Home Front-
The missus was able to sneak away and come back home for about 2 hours today. The four legged little mongrels were trying to wiggle thier way in and get some attention. But I put a stop to that and shut them in a closet … JK. She filled her weekly med organizer and we got to unwind for a bit. And wouldn’t ya know, I was pulled away by 3 separate dumpster fires at the office. Grrrrrrrr. Short but sweet visit. I’ll take what I can get.

Another very nice shave with this line-up. Today was a very late shave, but so nice. My typical three pass shave and BBS for the win! Life is good!

Home Front-
Had the late shave because I had to go into the office today and didn’t get my crap together this morning. Messing with the dogs and what-not put me behind schedule and I missed the shave. I got wrapped up with things I had to physically touch at work and used my lunchtime to drive home. After work, it was shave time. These late day shaves are not too bad either. Got some grocery shopping done this evening too, so we live to fight another day.
