Things can always be worse. I try to be thankful for both big and small things. Even when times get hard, things could be worse.

The Deets-
Wrapped up another weekend of random shaves and on deck today was another sample. I like the handle on this brush too, but I’m not sure about the synth knot. It’s soft enough and all that, but I lean towards natural hair knots. I may re-knot this, I just have to decide on which knot. Another bonus is that if I use natural hair, my wife won’t snag my brushes. I’ve already lost a few to her.

Great shave this morning. I originally thought I needed to freshen the edge on this razor, but additional stropping has really perked it up the last few days. I stropped it 20 laps on cotton and 60 on leather and it was go time. I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. The soap worked well and after three passes left me BBS for the win!

I wrapped everything up with a quick rinse and pat dry. Followed that up with a splash of the aftershave and everything was right as rain! Nothing better than your first cup of coffee and a great shave to start the day. Life is good!

You seem to have had the opposite experience I’ve had. I’ve tried to get my wife to experiment at least with brushes and shave soaps to do her legs but she resist that suggestion. Keeps doing things the old-school way that she used to do before we met. I am still going to try and get her a lady Gillette and find her “favorite” blade. Fingers crossed.
Hope your Monday is going well.

Some ideas as a "gateway shaver":

Leaf has their newest creation, the Twig. Uses half DE blades and I've seen it reviewed as a good entry into Traditional wet shaving.

Another option, albeit more expensive to use, is the lady hydro Schick (yellow razor). Someone on these boards must have bought a warehouse full, as you see them go for sale NOS from time to time.

Good luck to you!

I’ve got her using Stirling, LNHC and synth brushes. She won’t give up her Harry’s razor Big Grin
